Here we go ! I quit Solsoft to join an European ISP named Easynet in the Systems Team as a System Engineer, working on the systems architecture, design and operations.
I’m happy with it for several reasons. Notably, I am now member of a real team (I was used to work alone at Solsoft), Easynet is an ISP with a quite big infrastructure which is pleasant to learn and participate to. Further more, my team is European: despite I work for Easynet France, the team members live in eight European countries where Easynet does, my N+2 Manager is actually British. This also means local projects and European projects. I like this idea !
I’ve decided to quit Solsoft a few months ago, as my activity rate is going down (no more projects, just daily maintenance and HelpDesk, great), we started to hear about a potential take over in July, etc. My time has come and I need some new targets and projects.
[UPDATE - 2006/10/15] It finally happened ! Exaprotect has just announced to take over Solsoft. Here are a few links, the information countained being not always very accurate:

Actually, this is the first “real” post. I’ve made some before, for testing purpose when I was making SPIP skeletons for the journal backend. You wonder “what is SPIP ?”. Well, this is a piece of the all the system that runs this website. You can learn more going here.
These days, journals are more commonly called weblogs, or better, blogs, but I find the word journal nicer.
So ... welcome on this journal ! Let’s see if I will be able to fill it regularly with useful things !
